On October 22nd, 2019, Professor Heather Zwicker, executive dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Ms. Majella Ferguson, senior manager of International Services from The University of Queensland, visited Jilin University. They held work meetings with faculty members and staff from School of Philosophy and Sociology, School of Economics, School of International and Public Affairs, School of Management and Office of Global Engagement. The two sides improved mutual understanding in related disciplines, and reached consensus on jointly carrying out Dual Bachelor Degree Programs, Articulation Programs, mutual faculty members visits and cooperative scientific research.
Professor Zwicker and Ms. Ferguson were invited to participate in the 10th Long Peng Forum of JLU organized by the Office of Social Sciences, which focused on “Modernity: Observations and Critiques from the East and West”. Professor Zwicker made a speech entitled “Digital Perspective on the Settler-colonial City”.
