Changchun Automobile Transportation Engineering Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport was established in 1984. It is a secondary scientific research institution set up by the Ministry of Transport in Jilin University and affiliated to the Transportation College, which is known as the Automobile Transportation Engineering Research Institute of Jilin University. Both the Automobile Transportation Engineering Research Institute of Jilin University and the Transportation College constitute the main body of the scientific research institution.
Over the years, the scientific researchers of our institute have been engaged in the development of intelligent automobile detection and diagnosis theory, vehicle detection and diagnosis facilities, automatic comprehensive performance testing line, special vehicle engineering and rail transit, etc. It has undertaken more than 70 projects and accumulated more than 20 million yuan of scientific research funds. There are more than 20 provincial and ministerial projects such as the "863" Program and Doctoral Program Fund, and more than 50 horizontal projects.
After nearly 20 years of construction, the Institute has become not only an experimental base for theoretical research but also an important base for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Northeast China. As a scientific research institution in the field of automobile transportation, it has carried out in-depth theoretical research on automobile application engineering. At the same time, it has vigorously developed automobile detection and diagnosis technology and made outstanding contributions in the transformation of scientific research achievements. In recent years, we have developed several vehicle detection systems, such as vehicle wheel aligner verification device, engine cold running-in system, precise subdivision chassis dynamometer flywheel set, single and double steering axle side slip test bench, high-speed rail vehicle bogie stiffness test system, etc. Its advanced detection methods have been widely used in the transportation industry. The development of testing facilities, the design of automobile testing lines and the technical development of automatic measurement and control systems are highly praised and trusted by the industry. It has successively designed and installed more than 40 automobile testing lines in and out of the province, which has created certain economic and social benefits for society. Based on the scientific research work, the Institute has won one First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Ministry of Education, one First Prize and one Third Prize of China Automobile Industry Science and Technology Progress Award, one Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of China Highway Society, one First Prize, two Second Prizes, one Third Prize, two Gold Medals and one Silver Medal Award of Jilin Province; 10 invention patents and 21 utility model patents have been authorized; more than 50 academic papers have been published in authoritative academic journals or international conferences, and more than 20 papers have been included in Three International Indexes.
