Research and Development Center of Vehicle Detection Technology of Jilin University
Vehicle Comprehensive Performance Testing Station of Jilin Province (Research and Development Center of Vehicle Detection technology of Jilin University) is located in the scenic Nanling Campus of Jilin University. The central station was established in October 2000, mainly relying on the automobile comprehensive performance testing line constructed by Jilin University in the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and "211 Project", and certified by the Department of Transportation of Jilin provincial. On this basis, the Research and Development Center of Vehicle Detection technology of Jilin University was established in August 2004.
The central station has a total investment of more than 18 million yuan, with a building area of 1200 square meters and a parking area of 1950 square meters. It has more than 30 special testing facilities with a total investment of more than 5 million yuan. Among them, the main testing facilities, including brake test bench, chassis dynamometer, four-wheel aligner, engine detector, etc., are imported. The central station meets the requirements of the national standard GB / t17993-2005 <<Specifications for Multiple-function Detecting Test Station of Vehicle Transport>>, and it can complete the detection of 62 vehicle comprehensive performance indexes, being the testing line with the most testing items and the most complete functions in Jilin Province. It can not only undertake the teaching and scientific research tasks of automobile application engineering but also serve the community. After its completion, the station was positioned as the provincial vehicle comprehensive performance testing central station by the Department of Transportation of Jilin Provincial. In 2003, it passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Transport and was recognized as the Seventh Provincial testing central station in China.
At the beginning of its establishment, the research goal of the center was to test the comprehensive performance and safety performance of vehicles based on vehicle detection technology and develop new technologies, new facilities and new methods for vehicle detection. After nearly 10 years of development, the station has the following functions: undertaking the task of information construction of vehicle supervision network in Jilin Province, formulating and improving the automobile inspection standard system and technical regulations in Jilin Province, and being responsible for the on-the-job training and assessment of all kinds of employees in the province, the promotion and implementation of new standards, the evaluation of in-use vehicle value, the inspection of import and export automobile commodities, and the supervision and inspection of the automobile and its parts.
At present, the station has 16 technicians, including 9 engineers. Its technical team, detection ability and detection level are all first-class in China.
