Logistics Engineering Undergraduate Training Program

I. Training Objectives

Cultivate to adapt to the socialist modernization construction and future social and technological development needs, moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor comprehensive and harmonious development and healthy personality - full of conscience and social responsibility, with the spirit of innovation, entrepreneurial awareness, practical ability and international vision, with mathematics, natural sciences, engineering knowledge base, master the basic theory of logistics engineering, expertise and basic skills, with the ability to solve the complex logistics engineering field. They are complex specialists with the ability to solve engineering problems. After graduation, students can continue their studies in related disciplines, or engage in scientific research, technology development, production organization, business management, and teaching in manufacturing, trade and circulation fields. After about five years of practice in logistics engineering and related fields, graduates of this program are expected to have professional knowledge of logistics system planning and design, operation and management, the ability to solve complex problems related to logistics engineering, and the professional qualities of an engineer, and are expected to be competent for important technical and management positions in large enterprises, design departments, research institutions, government agencies and other units.

II. Business Training Requirements

Students of this program mainly study the basic theories and professional knowledge of logistics management and engineering, management science and engineering and other related disciplines, receive basic training in logistics system planning and design, operation and management, and have the ability to apply professional theories and modern scientific methods to comprehensively analyze and solve complex engineering problems in logistics engineering and related fields.

Graduates should acquire knowledge and skills in the following areas:

1. Ability to apply mathematical, natural science, engineering fundamentals and professional knowledge to solve complex engineering problems in the field of logistics engineering.

2.Ability to analyze complex engineering problems in the field of logistics engineering by applying the basic principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences, combined with literature search.

3. Have the ability to select modern engineering tools and techniques, computer language, consider social, health, safety, legal, cultural and environmental factors, logistics system planning and design, program development, operation management, simulation optimization, project feasibility studies, etc., and reflect the sense of innovation.

4. The ability to obtain valid conclusions based on scientific principles and methods, through investigation or experimental design, data processing and analysis, for specific practical and scientific problems in logistics systems.

5. Understand the guidelines, policies, laws and regulations on production, design, research and development, safety, environmental protection and sustainable development of the professions and industries related to logistics engineering, and be able to correctly understand and evaluate the impact of engineering on the objective world and society.

6. Have humanities and social science literacy, sense of social responsibility, able to understand and comply with engineering ethics and norms in engineering practice, and fulfill responsibilities.

7. Ability to serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team and in a valued role.

8. Ability to communicate effectively with domestic and foreign counterparts and the public on complex engineering issues, including the ability to write English and Chinese texts, make presentations, articulate or respond to instructions, and have an international perspective.

9. Ability to apply engineering management principles and economic decision-making methods to a multidisciplinary environment.

10. Have a correct understanding of self-directed and lifelong learning, with the ability to continue to learn and adapt to development.

Main practical teaching links: engineering training, automobile driving practice, course design of Logistics Engineering, course design of Economics of Transportation Technology, course design of Modern Logistics Equipment, course design of Transportation Organization, course design of Logistics Information Technology, course design of Logistics Facility Survey and Design, practical training of Logistics Engineering, logistics engineering internship, graduation design (thesis), and society. Professional Direction:This major has three professional directions: planning and design, production operation and management, scientific research and technical service in the field of logistics engineering.

VII. Graduation Qualification Criteria

1. Have good moral and physical qualities, and conform to the moral and physical education standards set by the school.

2. Through all the teaching sessions stipulated in the cultivation program, the total number of credits required for each session of this major is 169 credits, of which 144.5 credits are for various courses and 24.5 credits are for independent practice teaching sessions.
